It is the combination of two or more materials, normally immiscible, in order to obtain a product with many features taken from each element. The composite materials take an increasing part of the design of aircraft, as well as aluminium alloys. Besides the possibility they offer for modelling, enabling the manufacture of customized aircraft components, composites are also appreciated for their very low density.
