This is a set of communications mechanisms which are used to transmit various types of data over long distances. It is composed of equipment which is installed in a land station which also acts as a control base as well as a reception and liaison tool base. Telecommunications satellites are used to store and transmit information between two or more remote stations, or with another satellite.
