Lycoming and the Environment
Lycoming is committed to reducing our operations’ carbon footprint in order to minimize our impacts on the environment. We continue to work hard at improving our efficiencies so that we can continue reducing our energy consumption.

Lycoming’s Green Team represents the interests of the environment and Lycoming’s efforts toward “greening” our facility. Our Green Team reviews and leads green projects around the plant, benchmarks against other facilities, and supports environmentally friendly activities to encourage employee participation.

Recent projects include single stream recycling throughout the facility, and in-plant recycling centers for batteries and used cell phones. The Green Team also hosts an annual Electronics Recycling event for employees.
